The evening turned wet and windy.
The North West Ambulance Service requested our assistance with the evacuation of a young lady who had been involved in a road traffic accident just outside the village. The car in which she had been travelling had come off the road, and she had sustained lower back and arm injuries.
Two land rovers were deployed and soon on scene, with a few team members arriving via their own vehicles. The casualty was transferred on to a spinal board and we carried her the short distance to the waiting ambulance.
13 Team Personnel attended this call out which took 40 minutes.
